About Team G.R.O.W
Team G.R.O.W is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the Hill District/Uptown community. We provide outreach and resources to low-income families, women of color, teens/young adults, ex veterans. Team G.R.O.W's focuses on education, gun violence, mental health, homeless-ness, hunger issues, and past incarcerated individuals with a colorful background.
OUR SERVICES
Education & Resources
Team G.R.O.W provides a free 8-week, educational home repair Cohort for low-income women of color. This cohort educates women on how to fix and maintain home repairs. These ladies also form a sisterhood and bond that is unbreakable.
Outreach Programs
Y.E.P, or Young Embracing Power is the advocacy branch of Team G.R.O.W. Y.E.P's aim is to empower youth to become change agents of their own communities through advocacy and violence prevention training, workforce development workshops, and community networking events designed to create a coalition throughout the city-led by and tailoring to-young adults in Pittsburgh.
COMMUNITY Support
We don't just stop at education and resources, but we go a extra mile to engage with Operational Warm, Toys for Tots and lots of community fun days where we have lots of fun.
